Here's exactly what happens from the moment you connect your accounts.
Click "Get Started" to create your Vigilare client account. Verify your email, complete your profile, and choose a password. Review and accept monitoring consent yourself, then connect bank accounts through Plaid from your overview and choose which accounts to share. No advisor is needed to complete these steps.
Over time, Vigilare builds a picture of your own typical financial patterns — not anyone else's. It's comparing you to you, not to some general average of what everyone else does.
Only if Vigilare notices something that genuinely stands out — a pattern that's changed, or activity that looks unfamiliar — does it send a note to the people in your circle of care, whether that's just you, an advisor, a family member, or any combination you've chosen. Most of the time, there's nothing to report, and that's exactly what it should look like.
Vigilare never contacts anyone outside your chosen circle, and it never takes any action on your accounts — no transfers, no trades, nothing automated. Whoever you've included reviews what was noticed together with you, and you decide whether it's worth acting on. You're always at the center of that conversation.
Slow, gradual changes in day-to-day finances that can be an early sign of memory or thinking changes — the kind of thing that's genuinely hard for anyone to notice in the moment, including you.
Sudden, out-of-character activity — a new payment to someone unfamiliar, an unusual withdrawal — the kind of pattern that can show up when someone is being scammed or taken advantage of. This capability is still being built out.
